At River Mole children are encouraged to let their curiosity guide them
We have daily small group focus time, where our educators guide the play with age-appropriate activities. These include music and dance, meditation, story time and singing, topical discussions and much more.
Our educators are on hand to help scaffold children’s learning sensitively, allowing them to make choices and decisions, and try things for themselves.
Children learn how to understand and express their feelings when they are over-whelmed or anxious. Children are supported on how to make positive choices and manage conflict.
These sessions help foster resilience, confidence and mental well-being. Activities such as pond dipping, safe tool use, tree climbing, den building and much more.
The River Mole curriculum is progressive and a reflection of the children of today. Children will regularly take part in cooking and baking, yoga, play-doh disco and much more.
All children, parents, grandparents and carers become part of our River Mole family. Inclusion means we need to be sensitive to the possibility of barriers (real or perceived) that our children and families may face in life, and we strive to ensure that these barriers are broken down.
