Our Forest School and Outdoor Learning sessions are designed for our older year group.
These sessions run throughout the year in all weather conditions, this helps foster resilience and creativity as children have to adapt the way they tackle activities based on the seasons and the weather conditions.
Forest School takes place in and around a woodland setting. The woodland environment is the perfect place to develop resilient, confident, independent and creative learners where they get to learn through first-hand experiences and child-led activities.
Outdoor learning provides the opportunity for adult-guided activities, where the children can extend their early literacy skills through interactive story telling. Learning can take place in a variety of natural environments such as meadows, fields and river banks. Understanding of life cycles, seasons, growth and decay are some of the subjects children will learn throughout the academic year.
